|PACIFIC MEDIA PARTNERSHIP CONFERENCE 2015:
Partnering for Broadcasting
25-27 August 2015, Apia, Samoa
The Pacific Media Partnership Conference 2015 will be held on 25-27 August 2015 in Apia, Samoa. The theme for the event is ‘Partnering for Broadcasting’.
Broadcasting and digital delivery are topics of interest to the Pacific, the ABU and all other media stakeholders.
The PMP event provides a platform for the broadcasters and media personnel in the Pacific to share knowledge and expertise to improve and promote broadcasting in the region. The conference will address a number of challenges in content production and new technologies including their plan to go digital with their national terrestrial television broadcasting services for delivery.
Since the PMPC event is held in a Pacific country, the conference will provide an affordable opportunity for broadcasters and other media professionals to understand new concepts and mechanisms that can enhance their capacity in various aspects of broadcasting and media delivery.
The conference is jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), ITU, and the Pacific Media Partners with the support of the Department of Communications of the Australian Government, and Samoa Broadcasting Corporation.
The conference will be preceded by several workshops and meetings that will be of interest to the Pacific Broadcasters.
The venue of the 2015 Pacific Media Partnership Conference is the Government Conference Centre, Beach Road, TATTE Building, Apia, Samoa. The Samoa Conference Centre is a modern conference/meeting venue in the heart of Apia, the capital of Samoa. It is located within walking distance of restaurants and banks and is close to the beautiful Apia harbour.
